The Design Vision
As part of our Elevations Tier in the Premier Builder Collaboration Program, Simone & Ivy and Made in the Shade were brought on to elevate this Parkwood Homes showhome into a fully realized, move-in-ready experience. From the very beginning, our team worked closely with the builder to complement the home’s finishes with furnishings and window coverings that would bring warmth, softness, and character to every room. Our goal was to create a feeling of warm minimalism. We layered creamy neutrals, soft woods, sculptural lighting, and a touch of muted earth tones to reflect the overall architectural intent of the home. Thoughtfully selected window coverings by Made in the Shade helped frame the spaces and soften natural light, adding an elegant finishing touch without distracting from the overall design. Together, our teams transformed the showhome into a space that not only showcases Parkwood’s craftsmanship but also invites homeowners to imagine a life well-styled.
Details & Highlights
Key furniture pieces — like the boucle accent chairs with curved wood arms and the low-profile sectional — were chosen for their softness, comfort, and shape. Each room flows into the next with cohesion, thanks to a carefully curated blend of rounded forms, neutral palettes, and tactile textiles. Made in the Shade completed the look with minimalist roller shades that offered light control without competing with the room & clean lines. The simplicity of the coverings added to the overall harmony and visual calm of the space.
